Head Quater Systems Module

Head Quarter Computer System (HQCS) is the third and top-most layer in the integrated solution of INTELLECTS™. Its main function is to collect toll data from all Plaza Computer Systems (PCS) into a centralized database. The central data repository allows the management to monitor the performance of individual plaza. At the same time, it presents a consolidated and overall view of the performance of the whole toll collection operation.

Besides serving as the centralized database, the HQCS controls and maintains toll operational parameters too. The single point of control ensures the consistency and integrity of operation parameters used across all plazas. Proper version controls are built into the parameter maintenance module. A comprehensive parameter transfer log is kept too for tracking purposes.

Various information is generated from the HQCS database in the form of reports, graphs and enquiry screens for traffic monitoring, cash control and staff observation purposes.

 

HQCS Functionality

The main functionalities of the system are as follows:

  • Central Repository of Data

    The HQCS server serves as the central repository for all data within a plaza. It receives transaction data from all toll plazas on a periodical batch upload basis and stores them at the HQCS database. Besides transaction data, it maintains and stores all operational parameters too.

  • Parameter

    The HQCS maintains the operational parameters. These are global parameters that are common to all plazas. They are downloaded to plaza whenever they are changed.
